Accelerated Learning: How Agile Can Help You?
Have you ever thought about applying your Agile knowledge to learn something new? It can be pretty effective!
Have you ever thought about applying your Agile knowledge to learn something you want? Want to learn how to play an instrument? Want to learn a new language? Want to know how to juggle balls? Whatever is the new skill you are willing to learn, believe me: Agile can help you with it.
In our life, we often face the need of learning something new. Sometimes it’s for the job. Sometimes to impress the person we love. Sometimes it’s for fun or a new hobby… Whatever is the reason, we know that this knowledge/skill cannot be downloaded straight into your brain (yet) like in a nice movie where people can fly and dodge bullets. We know that learning something completely new can be very challenging. We still need to read books, to study, to attend to classes, to do researches, to follow lessons, to practice and of course: be patient, because sometimes the learning curve can be very slow…
In order to accelerate this learning process, many techniques and tricks have been created along the years. And as I’m one of these people who are always trying to learn something new and excited to see results as fast as possible, I’m always looking for these tricks and methods to support me in the learning process. And in this pursuit for ways to learn faster and faster my attention was caught, in special, by one of these methods.
It’s not a complicated method, full of techniques and tricks. In fact, it’s basically 5 simple steps. And I’ll share this technique with the audience, who and how it was created. Then you ask me: “Ok, nice. But why are you proposing this talk for an Agile event?”. Exactly for the reason why this method caught my attention: it’s incredibly similar to Agile values and principles! Thus, if you know what Agile is about, you are half way to use it in your favor to learn anything you want very fast.
